Speaker verification
Confirming a claimed identity from a voice (a one-to-one check).
Speaker verification confirms whether a voice matches a single claimed identity. It is a one-to-one comparison: the caller says who they are, and the system checks the live voice against the one enrolled voiceprint for that person, returning a match or no-match decision with a confidence score.
Verification is the basis of voice authentication, for example confirming an account holder before discussing sensitive details. It contrasts with identification, which searches many voiceprints rather than checking against one.
