Enrollment (voice biometrics)

Capturing a reference voiceprint so a speaker can later be recognized.

Enrollment is the step where a voice biometrics system captures a reference voiceprint for a person, so they can be recognized on future calls. It is the biometric equivalent of registering a password, except the credential is the voice.

Enrollment can use a dedicated phrase or be done passively from natural conversation. Because voiceprints are model-specific, switching providers means re-enrolling, often from call audio you already have.
